It is possible to run events without additional funding, but it can help to have a bit of money to pay for some extras. It is up to the teams to decide if they want to get additional funding. Please note that the central team is not able to directly fund the local activities, but will provide the website service and merchandise.

Key responsiblities

• Liaise with the central sponsorship team

• Keep track of budget available, this can be routed through the central account if required.

• Look for public engagement funding from your university/local sponsorship, help and guidance will be made available through the sponsorship team about:

  • what can we offer (visibility on the website, social media, mailing list and at the event)

  • get some guidelines on what amounts should you negotiate 

  • issuing of donation receipts where applicable

  • transfer money on the Pint of Science Germany account if required
