City coordinator

The city coordinator is the main point of contact for the central team and should know what is going on within the city team.

Key responsibilities 

  • Organise a team of people to run the events. We recommend 2-4 people for 1-3 events

  • Liaise with the central team to gather knowledge on how to manage the team and keep track of the progress of the event organisation

  • Connect via slack for easy communcation

  • Put together teams of event managers who will find the pubs, contact speakers and run the nights

  • Recruit web manager, treasurer and publicist

  • With your treasurer, decide on your budget and how it will be spent

  • Meet with your teams regularly (at least three times from October to April) to discuss updates and issues and inform them on how to proceed

  • Be available on the three nights of the festival to run the events
