DOORS OPEN 5.30PM, EVENT 6PM-10PM
The talks will be in English, Q&A in English and German

Deep neural networks are not brains...How your brain codes movement and how your computer could

Deep learning is increasingly successful in doing things that, until recently, were only possible for human: image classification, face recognition, gaming, audio transcription, but we're far from recreating a human brain. Arguing that similarities are only phenomenological, we'll discuss how that still helps in improving machine intelligence. Examples will focus on movement representation and robotics.

All you wanted to know about memory, but were too sober to ask. Memory and space representation in the brain

In this Pint of Science talk Prof. Sirota will overview current state of understanding of how memory and space representations are formed in the brain, covering the latest advances in this field of systems neuroscience.
